Showcasing the Project
Winter Blood Drive
I learn what many do to give blood. What I enjoyed was talking to people I did not know. At least I did not like doing nothing because nobody needs my help.It impacted my life by knowing what my blood type it.It will affect my life by helping people that need it.
Here I am helping stock snacks at the tables for when people are through donating blood.
Chisholm Trail Prep
I learned how to make things look good around town. What I enjoyed the most was cleaning the town garden. The thing I enjoyed the least was having to take apart the garden to put mulch down. How it impacted my life by taking my time to plant a garden. It will affect my future by having patience.
My back was killing me after picking weeds before we placed the mulch at the Heritage Park area.
Back to School Wellness Night
Our class was asked by Mr. Blosser to run a wellness night for the younger students. We divided the kids up into three groups. One group did activities in the elementary gym, one group was in the high school gym, and the last group was in the weight room. After setting up all the areas and tearing down with clean up, it only took around 3 hours.
Here I am pictured playing tag with the young children during wellness night.
Quartermania
I learned about this event through Marcie Bristor. I was a fundraiser for Steven Magnuss. It was basically an auction where people won quarters then place them in a clear container with popsicle sticks with numbers. If the number with the matching ping pong ball, you could win a prize. It was a fun day for all.
The seniors who worked the event took a break and enjoyed homemade chili and cinnamon rolls.

Border Queen Track Meet Concessions
I learned about working the concessions from Mr. & Mrs. Schmidt. I spent my time cooking hamburgers, prepared the cooked food, worked the front counter, and cleaned up afterwards. I didn't realize how much had to be cleaned after the day was over. Although it was hard work, I liked providing for people.
Here I am getting a drink for a customer. I also got to have a drink and a burger for working.
Summer Blood Drive
I helped set up and tear down the equipment for the blood drive. During the drive, I made sandwiches, distributed food & drinks, and even escorted people to the snack tables. I also gave blood which made me feel good about helping others.
Here I am with Carson watching Sonya donate blood.
Border Queen Car Show
I learned about this event through Austin Jones. I mostly cleaned cars and talked to others about their cars and their motors. I really enjoyed this day but unfortunately, all the photos I took were on my phone that broke so I had to find this one for the project.
